Democracy Film Series Continues Tonight in Mt. Pleasant With Timely Film About Enron

The trial of Enron executives Ken Lay and Jeff Skilling began yesterday in Houston. This evening at CMU's Park Library Auditorium at 7 p.m., the Democracy Film Series continues with the film "Bigger Than Enron. The Frontline special on PBS provides details of how one of President George W. Bush's most ardent Texas supporters rose to prominence and wound up presiding over the largest corporate scandal in history that cheated investors and company employees out of billions of dollars. It is this evening, Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Park Library. You can catch the movie and still get home in time to watch the State of the Union speech at 9 p.m. Here is one of the latest stories about the Enron trial.
