Encourage Kerry Filibuster - The most important thing you may do in your life this year

Nothing less than our democracy is at stake. We urge you to join with others oppossed to the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. You worked hard to encourage Senators Levin and Stabenow to vote against Alito and they will. Now it is time to ask them to fight again to save our country by joining the filibuster against Alito led by Sen. John Kerry.

Please go to this site and sign the petition to stop Alito and then urge one of our other Democratic Senators to change their minds about the filibuster they are currently not in favor of. Could Bush nominate someone worse than Alito? That seems to be the argument for not doing as much as they can to oppose Alito. Of course Bush could nominate someone worse, but let history record when Bush tried, our Democrats did everything they could to stop him.
